“To Soar in Freedom and in Fullness of Power” ( Walt Whitman)

Victoria attended Vanier College in Montreal, McGill Conservatory of Music and the University of Western Ontario. Victoria has an ARCT in vocal performance with First Class Honours. She has performed with almost all of Canada's major choirs and was a soloist in London Ontario for many years.

She is a voice coach, a life coach and a KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga teacher. Her approach is centred around body awareness and expressiveness. The voice unfolds beautifully and naturally with good practice over time. This is a study of Mastery and the joy is in the journey!

Victoria has over 25 years of experience in the voice development field. She currently has clients who are professional singers and in need of life coaching to help set goals, deal with resistance, shyness, becoming more authentic and more expressive. There’s no need to journey any further than the inner landscape of our own body. While the trend is to acquire skill quickly, to push the voice, to develop the ego in isolation – the real task of the body is to keep our feet on the ground, thus helping us to find our real sound. While ego is necessary to sing well, it must come from moving energy and not manipulated energy.

Victoria offers rare body-centred training with warm encouragement!

Vikki Flawith - Singing LessonsLong to Sing, but too Shy to Try? Here's a place to start. Gentle, holistic method, experienced teacher. Beginners and mature students welcome.

Nowadays we have art therapy and music therapy... in my studio, we have 'voice therapy'. I call myself "the shy singer" because that is precisely who I was and am. I have grown from the place of acute social phobia and extreme stage fright into the person I am today... and I attribute this personal growth to the study of singing. As I began to become aware of the things that inhibited my voice... I saw these same things inhibited me in life. The process of finding & releasing my authentic voice became also the process of finding and freeing my Self.

Thus, when we work together, we find that the study of voice goes beyond the mechanics of voicing music. The act of singing often reaches deep into the soul. For many, this is a healing journey, a process of discovery and change, a catalyst for confidence in speech and in song.

Please see my website [www.theshysinger.com] for complete information on fees, method, and philosophy, plus testimonials and a complete biography.
