Spring Burke - violin

I have recently completed a Master's of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Victoria where I studied with the Lafayette String Quartet. I also hold a Bachelor of Music from Memorial University, a Performance diploma from the Royal Conservatory, and a diploma in Teaching and Performance from the Victoria Conservatory.

I customize my teaching approach to each student because every student has a unique style of learning and a unique set of goals. I teach several styles of violin playing including classical, folk fiddle, and klezmer. I can prepare you or your child for conservatory exams, concerts, or just cultivate a love for music in a fun and interesting atmosphere.

Cavan GatesI have studied violin for over eleven years and I have taught violin for just over a year.  I am a fourth year Geography and Environmental studies student at the University of Victoria.  I use a mixture of methods and I try to balance ear-training with note-reading. Please contact me for more information or to audit a lesson. References are available.

Rates: I offer affordable rates that take into consideration my experience and abilities. I don’t believe that money should be a barrier to learning music. Please enquire for more information.
