Whether you're a beginner who's never touched a guitar before, or an advanced guitarist who just wants to improve and get more creative - lessons will go a long way.

They're an affordable $20 PER HOUR. There's no need for a long-term commitment. We'll take it lesson by lesson. All lessons are 1-on-1, private lessons.

I teach all styles of playing: Blues, Rock, Folk, Classical, Spanish, Funk, Reggae and more. All you have to bring is a guitar.

If you're a beginner and don't have a guitar yet, I'll show you what to look for in a good beginner's guitar. If you want to learn with a friend or a partner, it's just $15 each!

Jason earned his Bachelor in Music Performance at Concordia and McGill University, where he worked with Dr.Gary Antonio and Roddy Ellias. He then studied with Dr. Alexander Dunn at the University of Victoria, earning his Masters in Music Performance in classical guitar.

He has worked as a composer, arranger and performer in many areas from theatre, live concerts, to film. He currently is involved in Corbett & Lochbaum Duo, performing flamenco jazz around town and at various festivals. He also is an active composer and freelance musician playing with various groups.

Taking on all ages and levels of students, he has taught guitar for many years emphasizing on strong technique, creativity and musicality. All styles are welcome and appreciated!

Marissa KitsoneMs. Logan studied Classical Guitar at the Victoria Conservatory of Music under Dr. Alexander Dunn, and with Michael Partington in Seattle Washington.

Marissa has performed for renowned Guitarists such as Jeffery McFadden, Michael Nichollela and Pepe Romero; her performances at the McPhearson Playhouse, Alex Goolden Hall, Empress Hotel and Hatley Castle ("Concert in the Castle") have been featured on VI News and Go TV.

Marissa has seven years experience teaching classical, acoustic and folk guitar, as well as musicianship and theory. Whether you’re holding the guitar for the first time, or preparing for university auditions, Marissa has the knowledge and skills to help you on your way.

Stephen LochbaumStephen Lochbaum offers guitar lessons in the downtown Victoria area. Stephen has recently returned here from Vancouver, where he had a studio of 40+ students and also taught at UBC.

Stephen holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music from UVic and made the Dean's list in the Fine Arts Faculty. He has taught at the Victoria Conservatory and is a prizewinner in national and international guitar competitions.

He has been broadcast on CBC with the Vancouver Cantata Singers, and as a member of the Corbett/Lochbaum Duo. Stephen has also been a lead guitarist/vocalist in Rock and Metal bands and is equipped to teach a wide range of genres, ranging from rock'n'roll, blues, and country through to jazz, flamenco, and classical.

Lessons offered to serious students of all ages and abilities. Stephen is happy to teach theory (RCM exams ok) and composition as well.
